This is SJTW -- SJ = General Purpose, 300V; T = thermoplastic coating (elastomer rubber and sufficiently flexible), W = weather-resistant. Other important factors are wire size and temperature class. This cord is molded around the wires, making it a bit difficult to strip them to any length. The standard it was tested against was CuL, a UL standard accepted in the US and Canada. It has a molded NEMA 5-15P that will fit any "standard" 15A or 20A outlet (5-15R, 5-20R). The cable itself is suitable for 120 VAC, but NOT for 240 V or higher.
