Review on Nanoblock NBCC081 Sonic The Hedgehog by Gregory Shorunov

Instructions are too obscure but otherwise great

assembly that is great but because of the instructions. Sonic is made of dark blue bricks, which makes it difficult to see the black outlines on the instructions, and the instructions images are very small. I ended up having to mount a rectangular white LED flashlight on the sheet to illuminate everything enough to see what I was supposed to be doing and some of the rounded parts are hard to tell apart from their square versions due to the darkness. I want them to either lighten the blue in the drawing or use a different color for the outlines and to be honest I'm scared of how the shadow will look. However, once I clarified the lighting situation, it was a great construction. . What I love most about the nanoblock kits is how much detail comes out on a small scale, especially when light hits it. Some parts are a bit fragile, like his big arm attached to a hairpin, so it's purely a display piece and not something to play with, but it's designed with that in mind. Sonic's pose is very distinctive and bears a good resemblance. The end result is very cute and looks great alongside others.
