Ordered for installation on the exhaust of a diesel motorhome to direct the exhaust down and away from the towed vehicle. It is made of heavy gauge stainless steel, highly polished and chrome like. The tabs for the clip are welded on so no separate clip is needed and the back is removable - had to widen it a bit with a screwdriver to attach it but that's not a problem and the result was a comfortable and secure fit. As in As explained by another review, there is a Gibson logo at the end of the base which is only visible if you look closely. Expensive? Yes. Its worth it? Yes. I have seen thinner material exhaust tips at a lower price but you get what you pay for!
