MIX, don't shake! suitable for painting, wall finishing and accessories

I use this to make miniature Ouija boards that are sold on ebay. I used to use the spray version, but my local Home Depot no longer sells them (and the spray version took a lot of work). Knowing that spraying worked well (after a few coats), I decided to go with the brush. corresponding. I took my piece of paper, taped it down and started drawing. I check the glow function after each coat, but after SIX coats this material still hasn't glowed at all. However, I noticed two SMALL, sand-sized, glowing spots on the paper, so I was very confused. I jumped on the reviews to see what others had to say (didn't read them before buying as usual). However, there are many bad reviews. After reading them, I understood my problem. MIX, DON'T SHAKE! I shook the can like I would with regular paint when it looked good and I liked it mixed. I ended up using half a can before realizing that I should try stirring it. I grabbed a set of Panda Express chopsticks from my desk drawer and started stirring, immediately feeling resistance at the bottom of the jar, a hard blob of stuff (the stuff that makes that glow). I stirred and stirred until the mixture was smooth, THEN closed the lid and shook the jar just to be sure. VOILA! Now it works! (Although you'll need to apply a few more coats I'll try using Rustoleum primer on my next batch as the jar recommends to see if that helps) So STIR, DO NOT shake! (Well, shaking after stirring is obviously fine.)

Pros
  • durable finish
Cons
  • poorly thought out
