I bought this for my two dogs while visiting a friend. Unfortunately the house she rents is older so the patio where the dogs spend most of their time is an annexe and we couldn't get the gate to be flush with the ground. This left those tiny studs to support the weight of the dogs when they were feeding when excited and leaning against the gate. They ended up removing the nut in the gate and I'm not sure if I can fix it. I can order more bolts but that doesn't help with loose nuts. Wish me good luck. At least I can't complain about the latch, it seemed to work fine. One of my dogs figured out how to open the gate when we closed the deadbolt without locking it. She was also the one (55 pound golden retriever/German shepherd mix) who figured out how to squeeze through the cat door. *raises hands in despair* Aside from another Revain user's suggestion and cutting out one of the cat door screens, I haven't found a workaround yet.
