Review on Purina Fancy Feast Classic Gourmet Wet Cat Food - Pack of 24 Cans (3 oz each) by Kris Wagner

Food recommended by our vet with a taste your cat will love.

While our daughter is overseas in the Marine Corps, we had to save her cat from her "friends" who promised to take care of him in her absence care but not very well done. They fed him poor quality kibble and ignored him, so he gained quite a bit of weight. After bringing him to our home, I took him to a vet who has been taking care of all of our pets for over ten years and in whom we have complete confidence. She explained to me the many negative effects of dry food on cat health and encouraged us to switch from "cat crack" (as vets call it) to wet food. She said that not all canned goods are created equal. Cats need a high-protein, low-carb diet (the Catkins diet?). No "gravy" with granola and seafood. She recommended Fancy Feast Classic Foods, which is exactly that, and said she buys a special combo kit for her cats. for a good price at Revain and I bought it. It tastes like chicken (like this 12-pack), turkey, offal, and beef. I noticed that he eats almost the entire can of chicken or turkey and almost never touches the beef. I had a hard time finding just chicken or turkey flavors - neither in the store nor at Revain. I finally found a reasonable price for 12 packs of chicken and 12 packs of turkey so I can offer him only the flavors he likes and stop wasting beef. The Fancy Feast cans I've bought so far come packaged in a compact and easy to open box. I can store food in the corner of the kitchen table and the glasses won't be thrown around. He has lost most of his excess weight, his energy levels have increased and he appears to be a happier and healthier cat.
