Review on Mission Belt Mens Ratchet Gunmetal by Patrick Alexander

Revainrating 3 out of 5

At first glance the strap seems to be of good quality but it doesn't hold up well.

Was pleased with the fine workmanship of this strap upon first arrival. A very heavy buckle (maybe even too much), a strong strap and a reliable tensioning mechanism. Over time, I became disillusioned with him. I use this belt 90% in the office. The brass finish of the "buckle" has worn away over time to reveal a bluish silver underneath. This is very ugly and there is nothing you can do about it. The train click seems to be heard throughout the day, so you have to pull it throughout the day. Not sure if it's because the trigger is at the bottom of the buckle or not, or if the clicks just stop over time. This is possible if you sit down and put pressure on the little lever and it clicks or 2. Also, Canvas, the variant of this belt I have, is a simple layer of fabric sewn onto the underlying rubber or leather surface of the belt becomes. After 5 months of daily use, the edge of the fabric began to crumble in various places on the belt. This is very ugly. Mission replaced a worn belt very quickly, but this is the same canvas I bought and I just don't think it will last any longer than the first one. If I had to buy it again it wouldn't be the canvas version or the brass buckle version.

Pros
  • Materials: 40mm buckle and 1.5" canvas strap
Cons
