The threaded shank area is open. Easier to cut to desired length.

5/16" x 2-3/4", 10 pcs. Stainless steel, not zinc plated. The thread is not closed by a sleeve, which simplifies cutting to the desired length. Used to install the mailbox base on a concrete base. I would buy again.
