I love this shoe horn for putting on my tight shoes that I have to hang onto the shoe tongue (too lazy to untie my shoes). It is thicker than all the other shoe horns I've tried except for Comfy Clothiers. Comfy Clothiers is 2.0mm thick and HOUNDSBAY is 1.8mm thick. The thickness makes little difference for the 16.5 inch long shoe horns, but I can feel a slight difference between the 31.5 inch long shoe horns. The 31.5 inch shoe horns are great for putting on shoes while standing and you don't want to bend over. However, if you have shoes that you need to hang on to the shoe tongue when putting on your shoes then the 31.5 inch shoe horns are too long and awkward for that situation. I really like the curved handle on the shoe horn versus a straight handle with a tether cord. The curved handle gives you better control of the shoe horn and lets you comfortably pull up with one finger when needed. The rubber coated handle is nice as well on the HOUNDSBAY. The only complaint I would have is that the edges are not as smooth as I would prefer. It's nothing a little sanding can't fix. I've sent many shoe horns back, but I've kept the HOUNDSBAY and Comfy Clothiers.
