A while back I purchased another brand of metal shoe horn and was totally disappointed. It looked good but was weak metal. Once bent it would bend very easily when in use. Not the case with the Houndsbay!

This is terrific for my winter boots and my tennis shoes! Love the length and they are very sturdy, no way they would ever bend! I had a back fusion in my lower back and this makes it much easier to put on my shoes!

I have purchase other shoe horn, but they seem to be flimsy. This shoe horn is the thickest metal I have seen. When I use this shoe horn it does not bend.

A smart purchase. I like everything about it except its use. Or temporary lack of use. That's because I don't need it for Crocs because they lack heels and thus don't inflame my bone spur. But as the bad foot heals, I will absolutely require the HOUNDSBAY and its long handle to wear some of my regular shoes. Aging lack of flexibility makes regular shoehorns useless for me. That's why I bought, and I am happy with my choice.

The material is great! Steel and not aluminum; does not bend when applying sufficient force while putting on your shoes (BIG factor considering purchase). I'm six one and the length is just right while standing to put on shoes (without having to sit down). Not sure yet of the plastic coating for the handle (reason for four stars and not five), but do like the curved part - easy to handle. At this time, having the Shoe Horn for a short time I would recommend this product to others.

I was having such a hard time getting on two particular slip on shoes and my daughter told me about this shoe horn. It is amazing and you can get your foot in there with such ease! Would buy it again in a heartbeat!

I love this shoe horn for putting on my tight shoes that I have to hang onto the shoe tongue (too lazy to untie my shoes). It is thicker than all the other shoe horns I've tried except for Comfy Clothiers. Comfy Clothiers is 2.0mm thick and HOUNDSBAY is 1.8mm thick. The thickness makes little difference for the 16.5 inch long shoe horns, but I can feel a slight difference between the 31.5 inch long shoe horns. In my use so far there is no tendency for the shoe horn to bend, in contrast to other brands of metal shoe horns made of aluminum. These shoe horns are long enough for me to comfortably use whether I am standing or sitting.I find these to be a real bargain, and I certainly would recommend them.

I truly don’t understand how people are bending this. It is thick, heavy, metal. It is supposed to help slide your heel into place, not take your foot on a journey into your shoe while spooning your toes. I think people are probably using it wrong while not supporting their own weight possibly. Sit down if you can’t stand to do it. This thing is great!
