Subjective impression

Subjective impression . That's why I've been waiting to review these lamps. I wanted to see how well they work in the long run. The first thing I should honestly mention is that my internet/wifi is spotty. I have a 100 year old house, solid interior walls. This may affect what I will say about lamps. I also have charter flights and they cut 'maintenance flights' weekly. This can also affect lamps. Finally, the Sengled app leaves a lot to be desired. The lights are great, easy to install, good lighting and easy to interact with Alexa. As long as the connection is good, Alexa will work smoothly. Sometimes, mostly, I use Alexa voice commands. When I don't want to wake my dog, I use the Alexa light bar on my phone. (When I wake my dog she thinks I should give her treats and midnight snacks and he should go potty.) Internet/WiFi outages cause the lightbulb to go out and I have to reset most. It takes longer than I want to give away the lightbulb(s). Sometimes the lights go out completely and I have to uninstall and reinstall them, rename them and hope the connection stays. It's taking too long for the nearly a dozen lightbulbs I've wired. The app is easy to install, but app management is confusing. For example, the Installed Lightbulb page doesn't have the options you want, such as: B. Fast reconnection, and when you create room groups, it's difficult to undo. Offer to create your groups through Alexa. Use the app to install, select Alexa controls and do the rest in the Alexa app. The lamp is said to last 25,000 hours. My calculations for the ceiling light in the hall should have lasted about 2 years with typical use. This bulb has now been in service for 11 months and is currently around 50% on (already 2 weeks old). So maybe that 25,000 hours is 100% for a while, 50% for a while, and 25% for a while, continuing to dim until it dies. I expect 25,000 hours to be 100% for at least 2 years depending on lobby lighting usage. The problem is that the return options have expired by the time you know, and you don't know until they start to fade. I think that's the case with every brand. My hallway light is used daily but only for very short periods of time e.g. B. to fill a dog's water bowl or to check safety at night, less than 10 minutes at a time. times and still works 100%. Apparently lamp life is subjective. From my experience, I like the lamps as long as there are no wifi outages. As for this brand or any other brand, how long they will last 100% is unclear. I wanted to review this lamp because I think it's fair to share its general characteristics. I can't say it's better or worse than any other brand.
