These socks are very thick. One reviewer said he didn't consider these socks to be true compression socks. Maybe not, but if they were any tighter I'd have to throw them away. I helped my 80 lb mum put them on because they fit snugly on her body and she had some difficulty with them (she is 96 years old). She thinks they go well with her skinny legs and loves them. I weigh 40 pounds more than them and tend to roll them off my calves. They're a little tight for me, but I can roll them up however I want. They also appear to be well made. I would actually like a bigger size, but it's hard to say without trying it.
