UPDATE 7/19/17 --- The new one can't find my network. Sending it back isn't worth the time or effort to try to get it working. Get a competitor's product to see if it's better. --- First of all, it is very easy to set up. I saw my wifi, connected with no issues, then connected to Alexa. I saw that a firmware update was required, so I initiated this. An hour later I still haven't received an update for the app and the plug was blinking green. Read online about corrections etc. It worked and moved it to another plug for a laugh. After that it was not possible to reconnect it to the wifi. I played with it a bit more, but there were still problems. Made changes to the router to remove all special characters from the network name, no password, 1 capital letter in the network name and still having connection problems. Deleted app, reinstalled app, tried with iPhone, iPad and finally connected and set up again in Alexa. The power went out and the network was not found again, blinking amber. I'm tired of playing with this thing. Send it back for a new one, and if that doesn't work, throw out the whole Wemo and try a competitor.
