I was skeptical about buying this unit but I was going overseas on vacation and I needed something quick, easy, and not too expensive. I looked at the reviews and even asked questions about whether or not it would withstand heat and water. Most people said yes to heat but weren’t sure about water. So I took a chance and told myself not to submerge it in water.Well! This thing came and delivered! I wore it on vacation and for 2 months afterward!As I said, I did not submerge it in water but the tips did get wet( I wore a side pony) but it was all good! Since I was on vacation, I never took it off. I secured it with the yellow can of hairspray (got 2 b). With the heat and sweat, it began to slip a tiny bit but I quickly fixed it. I maintained it with Wet n Wavy spray and gel by slightly dampening hair and slightly brushing/ combing it. Not too much gel - just enough to hold the curls.I wore this in a number of styles: down, a side pony, a back pony, and a braided pony.This unit was a pleasant surprise! Well worth the money. Totally slept on!
