Great product with a small problem

Overall this is a great product. It fits the iPad Pro 12.9 inch perfectly with no gaps or gaps as I have seen in some other reviews. It's thin enough not to interfere with the open/close mechanism. In fact, it's almost perfect. That's a good thing bad, in my opinion the Apple Pencil holder is good in that it gives the pen a secure place while charging (double bonus), but the problem is the tapered design: the tapering on the edges makes it difficult to squeeze the Volume buttons enough to activate them as I used to was routine. Don't get me wrong, you can still activate and press them normally, but it's harder. It's obvious when performing a key combination, like pressing the power button and volume up button at the same time to take a screenshot, for example snoozing an alarm clock on an iPad. It's awful or useless, but it adds more boredom to my life that wasn't there before. But it's not enough to deduct a star. This is still a 5 star product. Instead of leaving the buttons recessed, perhaps you can build faux metal buttons into the case so the power and volume buttons can be raised like they used to. I have seen this implemented on some phone cases and it works well. In summary, this product is close to perfect. Port cutouts are accurate to the millimeter, there is no excess volume anywhere except in the pen holder area. Color and finish are excellent. There are no gaps or obstacles anywhere. A premium accessory for a premium device. Buy with confidence.
