Lower your expectations and you will be satisfied.
This is a cheap camera but if you take care of it sparsely it will last a while, 6 months to a year at most. I've had several and none lasted more than a year. If you are looking for something that will last, this is not for you. The resolution isn't the best, but it's okay for a babysitter cam. Also, you still need to know what your nanny looks like.
