This is supposed to be an OEM replacement but it is not the same as the original. When my original was connected I couldn't see the metal. Also, I've used it for years and it never fell out. I only had to replace it because my laptop's outlet is on the left and the wall outlet is on the right, so the cord was always kinked and eventually shorted out. I bought this new one a few weeks ago. First, there is a gap between the rubber and my laptop and I can see the metal part of the connector. And in the short time I've had it, it's fallen out four times. I already threw away the other one, so I can't return this one. If I did that, I would be powerless. But I'm not happy with that.
