One of the reasons that I picked my ascot was because it said they are soft silk. I had a similar experience to that of another customer, the material is rough and very thick. It is hard to tie around the neck without feeling choked. It also chafes a lot if you plan to turn your head a decent amount, such as being at a social event where you look from person to person as you talk. It is nice that this product includes the pocket square and cufflinks, but that is not enough to make up for the material quality.I am still going to wear it but I would not recommend buying it.
