The latest 4.1.1 release should not be installed since it has the potential to completely disable noise cancellation in headphones. I don't see how this is possible in the year 2022, yet with ate 4.1.1, Sony effectively disabled noise reduction on some devices. If you update to the most recent version of ate, you may notice that the noise reduction feature no longer functions. For some reason, no one highlighted this issue in the comments, even though it has been reported on reddit, w3bsit3-dns.com, and the Sony community forums for over a month. The headphones' volume is about right for a 5k closed-captioned movie. We mainly got it for the noise canceling features, and I'll write a review after I return the broken ones and get replacements.
