Disappointment: Lighting and ceiling fans

A lot of time and effort has gone into this product. not to mention $25. After removing my 65 inch TV from the wall (which was never fun) and attaching the LED strips to the back of the TV fairly symmetrically and then remounting the TV to the wall, the LED lights were ready to use My kids and I were thrilled to see the finished product and we made it for about 30 seconds. Our aforementioned TV prompted us to unplug the media device from the USB port (a message appeared in the center of the TV screen) and the LED lights went out immediately. Power from the TV's USB port was a warning about this product. but not when they can't be plugged into a TV I really liked the backlit TV (30 seconds) and decided to power the LEDs with a 5V iPhone power adapter plugged directly into the included cable. The light no longer comes on when plugged into an outlet the next day. Then I assumed that the next problem must be with the remote control. why else would LEDs work sooner? I currently have a product that only lights up in one color (the one that was installed before the remote decided to stop working at one point) and one that only turns on when directly plugged in. to a wall outlet (revealing another cord dangling from my wall mounted TV) and not directly to my TV's USB ports (in all honesty this could be an issue with my particular TV). Can I get a second remote control? sent to me to put an end to some of the above frustrations?

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Useless features
