Good RGB lights, suitable for seasonal lighting

This year I've been trying different brands and styles of RGB string lights where you can adjust the string to one of 16 different colors with the included remote control. This brand is good. The bulbs are short, short, wide beam, a little smaller in diameter than the mini bulbs you usually buy in big stores, but the brightness of the LED bulbs makes up for it. I find RGB strings with rice light-style bulbs too weak and fragile for outdoor Christmas lighting, despite advertising saying they're suitable and waterproof for the purpose. These OLLNY lights are much better than rice lights. Also, the cords on these OLLNY lights are thicker and stronger than other lights of this type that I own. The only downside I find with these USB plugs, although you have to buy power adapters to connect the USB dongle, is that they are very bulky. Imagine a 5 inch long USB plug at the end of the string light and then an attached cube shaped power supply plugged into an outdoor power strip. If you want to tape your connections it's tricky as the USB dongle moves a bit in the power adapter port as it isn't tight. I just glued it on and the USB connector slipped out of the power supply connector a bit and sometimes the lights wouldn't light up. Then I have to go out and make sure the USB stick is fully inserted into the power supplies (all adapters are brand new) and the connection is good. In the end I decided to just wrap each plug/port in a ziplock bag and seal the top of the bag with tape. That way I can see the USB/AC adapter port through the bag and don't have to unwrap the tape if it comes loose (it gets a lot of wind here where I live). It would be much better if OLLNY just made them electric instead of USB. I'm not sure I understand the use or purpose of USB ports unless you have some sort of complex circuit board that's computer controlled for your light display. For the typical Christmas garden decorator, we just plug our stuff into an extension cord or power cord! But these are good and reliable lights this season.
