Worked great for me

Had to tie my Nikon D7000 to my Macbook for studio photography. With the modem, you can see and even control the digital camera from your computer. A large image on a computer monitor greatly facilitates work in the studio. However, tying involves hazards to equipment. A trip or cable trap and devices worth thousands of dollars can fall to the ground. Anyway, I bought this cable and added it to the standard 6ft USB to mini USB cable (to connect to the camera). , plugged everything together and switched on. Only 22 meters. More than 750 shots in 2 days and not a single rejection. I like the LED built into the socket. In my case, I found that I had to make all the connections, turn on the Mac, and turn on the camera to get the LED to light up. I've learned to look at him before each series of shots. If it was enabled, it worked, period. IF you want to tether, here are some tips I've learned: 1. NEVER tie one connector to another, period. If (read when) you trip over something, you want the connections to come loose, not the device to fall to the floor. 2. Fasten the computer to the table on which it stands. Bungee cords are one of the possible methods.3. Use at least two cables as this provides a "break point" in the middle of the cable to protect the devices on the ends. I would recommend only using high quality cables or adapters with this cable if needed. Look for the ones with ferrites - these inch pieces are near a connector. No guarantee of quality, but really cheap cables never have it. I want to give credit to a free software called Instant Photo. Much better than Nikon's modem software. He asks for a donation if it works and I was happy to do so.

Pros
  • Cables and accessories
Cons
