I've been using this mount for a year and every 2-3 months I have had to tighten the thumbscrew slightly to keep the mount in place. I didn't regulate it at all - just trying to keep the angle I set at the very beginning. Eventually the threads became loose, mainly because the threads on the thumbscrew stopped too soon. This allows you to insert an unthreaded shank into the threaded end without tightening the connection. Adding to the poor design, there is no friction material on the mating surfaces inside the pivot. My god, smooth metal on metal doesn't stick that well. DERP! I will not buy this mount again nor will I recommend it to anyone.
