Review on ⌚ Women's Timex Expedition Metal Field Mini Watch by Elizabeth French

Watch only received 2 days ago so can only comment on looks: dial is clean and easy to read - no date which I prefer. The watch face I received is a little darker than the "off-white" in the picture. I would describe the color as light beige. The size given is correct (26mm) about a quarter. The case is metal and a good weight - not too heavy for comfort, but not so light that it slips around the wrist. The hands do not light up - the face of the watch is illuminated when the stem is pressed. I find this feature really useful. This is an attractive everyday watch. That's exactly what I wanted. I would give 5 stars but I don't like the band and am looking for a replacement. It's called "leather" but it's cheap leather and sturdy. Dark brown which suits the face well but I don't like the fabric panels and the stitching is kinda weirdly light orange but that's all a matter of taste. Also, the strap is too long for my small wrist, which is another reason why I choose "short" straps. Overall I'm satisfied and the price was very reasonable. This is my first Timex so I'm hoping to have a reliable one and I'll check back later for a quick review. BUT after looking at many other watches and not "finding exactly what I wanted" at a reasonable price and the right size for my small wrist, I ordered another one! Hope this one is reliable. I ONLY ADDED A FIFTH STAR. I BOUGHT THIS WATCH IN NOVEMBER 2017, IT IS NOW JANUARY 2019 AND THEY ARE RUNNING GREAT. I LOVE MY WATCH, IT'S ATTRACTIVE, VERY AFFORDABLE AND RELIABLE. I WEAR THEM EVERY DAY! WHAT A WONDERFUL PURCHASE.
