I had to break through into cleaning mode. I started using the soft mode for a couple of weeks until I got used to it and now I can handle the clean mode every time. Really cleans my teeth. My SO has a sonic toothbrush and it looks gross all the time and needs to be taken apart and cleaned regularly. This is not. It is well made and stays clean with a simple rinse after use. It could be TMI, but if you spit it out after eating, the food particles that come out are significant! It really gets between your teeth and cleans them. I've taken it on night rides and it's charged. My only advice: turn it on after it's in your mouth or you'll lose your toothpaste!
