I generally like thick quality leather - thicker, like an expensive suitcase. Just a shortcoming. The latch for closing the wallet is constantly released, which is not very good. The metal hook should have been thicker. Since I love my purse, I cut a piece of that narrow, shiny black tape (tape?) and wrap it around a metal hook to keep it in place. I had to try twice to get the right thickness but it worked great. If this ribbon was bronze like the crochet hook, it would be perfect, but it's black. It's not noticeable at all, so it's not a big deal. It is worth keeping such a great wallet. It's tight (because the leather is so thick, which is a good thing) as much as you can fit, but I managed to fit everything I needed in it. The strap is very long so I drilled an extra hole further down the strap to get it the right length (I wear it on my chest to keep it from slipping - this has happened to me before and I have my purse lost). my shoulders in Fry's dairy department, and luckily someone gave it away - lo!). I put a brass jig in the new hole to hold the strap together since it's so long, but it worked great. I really like this wallet so my improvements have been amazing. Maybe you can enable some of them in the future. Thank you Donna After this last check, the strap didn't hold and then the clasp broke. Now there is no chance that it will remain closed. This is the only bad design. Such a big fat wallet, but what good is a wallet if it's not reliable? I have sent the wallet back but would like to order a new one with a secure clasp that will keep the wallet secure.
