Review on ๐ŸŽฎ Enhance Your Xbox One Racing Experience with the Thrustmaster Ferrari 458 Spider Racing Wheel by Ada Marciniak แ Œ

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The quality was generally satisfied, there were minor shortcomings.

Firstly, I did not understand why in any description on the Internet it is indicated that it has vibration? At first I thought something was not working or I didn't enable something in the game (Forza 5). But, after reading the reviews on a similar steering wheel Thrustmaster for Xbox 360, I came to the conclusion that it is simply not provided for by the design (strange, right?). Further, if you can still find something to attach the steering wheel to (a cat scratching post came up to me :-)), then the pedals constantly slide on the floor and leave, although they have rubber pads on the bottom. Those. they need to either be attached to something or propped up. This is very inconvenient considering that the Xbox is usually played on the couch and not at the table. Thirdly, the steering wheel itself and the pedals are very hard and it is not adjustable. Hard to twist and press. After the joystick steering wheel from MS for Xbox 360, you feel like with a simulator. But in any game you can adjust the sensitivity level (4 modes). I bought it today, so I can not say anything about reliability and quality yet. Conclusion: if it were not so hard (or at least it was configurable) and with vibration, it would probably be an ideal purchase. And so, with all its minuses, I would prefer MS Wireless Speed โ€‹โ€‹Wheel, yes, unfortunately, it is not available for Xbox One, but from 360 it does not fit :-( : I tried this steering wheel in Forza Horizon 2, it steers much better than in Forza Motorsport 5, the cars do not go into an uncontrolled skid at every turn. The game sparkled with new colors, although the difficulty level of the opponents had to be lowered. with a steering wheel it is much more difficult to pass the track than with a gamepad, but it is also more realistic. Changed the rating to 3 out of 5, still lacks vibration, especially in cross-country racing. I fastened the pedal block with construction tape to the base of the scratching post, and put it on the mat from the bathroom (with a rubberized base) so that it is now fixed, does not leave anywhere and does not slip. Some more advise to disassemble it and remove one of the two springs for the pedals in order to reduce their stiffness, but I did not do this, I seem to be used to it.

Pros
  • + low price, compatible with Xbox One + comfortable grip, rubber inserts + many buttons + easy to connect and mount + cool metal paddle shifters
Cons
  • - no vibration or recoil - the pedal block constantly leaves, does not keep on the floor - very tight, the stiffness of the steering wheel is not adjusted - hard pedals, not adjustable - wires get in the way (and may break in the future)
