Overall, these Columbia winter pants are great. As mentioned by other reviewers, the sizes run large. I have a large 5 year old and bought the XXS (4/5) on recommendation and am glad I did. It fits perfectly and he will be able to wear it next year because of the OUTGROWN SYSTEM feature. Size XS would have been too big for sure. The size chart on the winter pants says: US size XXS: 4/5 (I found this large for a 4 year old. Fits a 5 year old "regular size" with some room for a little growth. Constant change since you now remove the seam that makes the trousers shorter). 3. Flare the pant cuffs (the flared pant will be about 2 inches longer after the drawstring is removed) Another feature I like: Velcro for adjustable waist
