Tenda U9 is what I used to replace the antiquated TP-Link adapter, which is incapable of functioning in the 5GHz frequency range. Tenda is satisfied, confidently pulls downloads, does not cut down, and picks up Wi-Fi immediately when launching the operating system. Ping leaps and occasionally loses packets, however this only happens in games. Pinging Google reveals the same thing: a consistent loss of packets accompanied by jumps in the ping rate. If you plug it into an adjacent USB port, then there will be no loss for the next minute; after that, it will begin again. I updated the drivers, read a bunch of recommendations, turned off a lot of things in Windows 10, tried to do something on the command line, and connected it via a USB extension connection; however, none of these things were successful in fixing the issue. For the sake of comparison, the old TP-Link did not give itself permission to do this, but it cannot be compared in any other way. I even started to wonder if the new adapter was getting too hot to handle. In general, a great number of things have to be done in order to ensure that saving is a poor choice. While it is a fine adaptor for passive usage, active users should avoid it at all costs. I didn't check it till late in the game after I bought it; otherwise, I would have returned it.
