Works right out of the box. Sangean WR50P

This is a great radio. Finally, Sangean did the right thing by not sacrificing quality wood in favor of cheap plastic. I plugged it in right out of the box, turned it on and it found the right time right away, so there's no need to configure it at all. The only thing I had to set up was the radio stations. I haven't gotten to the remote control yet, but it's a bit easier to use than the RCR10 iPod radio. As many reviewers have noted, from my 20 month experience with this radio, the RCR10 had a few shortcomings in the unit that included (1) the backlight turning off and switching between brightness levels when the alarm buttons on the unit were pressed; (2) The remote even caused the same problem when I tried to use it and I had a hard time with it. So I bought a newer radio. Tried bluetooth and my device that I had paired with it saw it after a reboot. bright display. Press the bottom left button to adjust the brightness to the desired level. Tune into radio stations by pressing the rightmost button, the tuning button, like the RCR10. The volume button is located on the left side of the device. After you have tuned in to the desired station, press the selection button 1 to 5 on the top of the device. As Sangean indicates when using the alarm part of the device, if you want to take a nap, press the "Setting" button to do so within five minutes. The remote control can set up to nine stations, four more than the device itself. Very good device, I recommend.
