Review on 🐱 CEESC Extra Large Cat Door: 4-Way Locking, Weatherproof Pet Door for Cats & Doggies - Ideal for Interior/Exterior Doors (White, Outer Size 11" x 9.8") by Denise Miller

I bought two of these very large cat doors to accommodate our two very large cats. I researched cat doors for "rounder" cats for a few days before settling on this door. In general I am disappointed. Installation was fairly easy but took a long time as the door didn't come with a template. I ended up tracing the "tunnel" side of the cat door and cut out a piece, then spent a few minutes with a jigsaw cutting the sides until the cat door finally went through. The instructions are worthless. They were obviously poorly translated into English. The big problem with this cat flap is the locking mechanism. Unfortunately, the plastic design of the cat door is more fragile, which allows for some flexibility in the overall structure after installation. This causes the locking tabs to move and makes the door difficult to open - some force is required to open. Combined with the poor locking mechanism and internal magnet, some of my cats still have trouble opening this door, although they had no problems with the old cat door I installed. I could potentially alleviate this problem by removing the tabs on the locking mechanism to allow the door to rotate more freely, but then I'd be stuck with a cat door not locking. I do not recommend this door, it causes too much stress between me and my cats.
