Review on πŸ”₯ YIHUA 8786D I 2-in-1 Hot Air Rework and Soldering Iron Station with Fahrenheit/Celsius, Cool/Hot Air Conversion, Digital Temperature Correction, and Sleep Function by Troy Houston

Excellent value for money, serves its purpose. If you want perfection you don't have to, but perfection costs $1000+

So this iron isn't perfect. So what? If you want perfection, buy JBCs, they start at $1,000 and go up. But if you want something affordable and good enough to get the job done, then this is a solid choice. I needed a soldering station urgently, ordered at 10am and received the same day! Both the blower and the iron work perfectly. I was able to complete my project. It does everything you need. Pros: heats up very quickly - I mean very quickly - and holds the temperature quite well. Cons: Temperature readings are not very accurate in absolute terms. (Calibration is adjustable but I didn't bother). Basically I just increased the heating temperature until the solder flowed well. He claimed 700F, which seems high. Once I dialed in the temperature, I got consistent results. When it got stuck in items with more thermal mass I just increased the temperature. Never needs more than 800F (can go up to 900F). Great deal, great price, comes with 10 soldering tips and some other extras. Disclaimer: I paid full price and did not receive any advertising for this review. I do NOT spend 8 hours a day soldering in a production environment. This soldering station is good for hobbyists and students.
