Not as heavy as I thought

This is only the 3rd or 4th time I've used this leash with my 44 lb Pitty. She's meant for hiking but she snapped at the dog park when my pup reached to the side of the potty I was split in two, luckily she was in the middle of the rear to grab the harness and use the safety line. I could poke it back and forth, it doesn't stay in and sticks. I think it's not as hard work as I was hoping.
