I have a 2001 Grand Marquis and it doesn't have a factory remote installed (desirable). This is a good replacement. It's pretty basic but does everything it takes. One thing I really like is that I had the option of either using a "wristwatch" style strap to wrap it around my handlebars or double-sticking it to my dash. I chose the latter because I didn't want anything protruding from under my steering wheel. The nice thing is that it's designed to work with my ATOTO F7 SE, so there are no compatibility issues! The battery is already installed, let's see how long it lasts. I know some others have written about battery issues and I will say that this is not a branded battery like Duracell so it may need to be replaced quickly. However, this is a very small problem. You can buy a brand name replacement coin cell battery at a hardware store and install it in minutes for just a few dollars.
