Hmm, no. Not gold plated.
Pictures and descriptions of this product are deceptive. The plug contacts are made of nickel or other white metal with red stripes between the tip, ring and barrel on the plug. not gold with black stripes as shown. What I received wasn't what I expected, although otherwise the product was basically the same. The wire before winding could have been 200cm long, but that's not important information as the usable length is less than 100cm even when "fully extended" - at least not at normal atmospheric temperature and pressure. Sellers, why not describe and photograph the product you are selling?
