Ideal for washing machine hoses at the end of the shut off valve but do not install as directed
These protect my washing machine inlet valve from the deposits and scale that inevitably makes its way into my water. They are best placed at the end of a shut off valve on a wall so they are easily accessible for the occasional cleaning. The instructions show how to install the protruding mesh in the washing machine hose. This might work with a garden hose, but the screen will deform if you push the hose down in that direction. I installed a bar in the shut-off valves for hot and cold water. They fit so well and can be cleaned with a brush without removing the rubber washer.
