They work very well. Very fun for my kids. We also use it so my 6 year old can talk to me from the back of the van. I can't hear her, so she's just talking on her walkie-talkie while I'm sitting in the seat next to me. I can speak loud enough for her to hear my answer. The only complaint is that the beep that sounds when someone presses the talk button is very loud and annoying.
