Review on SmallRig Vlog Cage Hero Black by Robert Berio

The good people at SmallRig have thought of everything. When I got my Hero 9 I went for the Ulanzi cage first because I have it on my 8 and my Max. But I hated how the filter holder on the Ulanzi covered too much of the front screen. I mean that's why we bought 9 for the front screen right? So I ordered this and am delighted. First, it's great to be able to use a 1/4 or action camera mount without having to screw an adapter onto the bottom like Ulanzi does. So comfortable. Second, the test door is pushed by the button, and then it's much easier to open than to groove and slide like Ulanzi. Next comes the overall design. Protective, not too heavy. If you're trying to decide between this cage and another, unless you're bolting a 52mm filter to the front of the cage, choose this one.
