These are very good blocks. We love that Pluto is turned on and the sheer depth of information and thought that has gone into it is amazing. Like other reviewers, I'd love to see an expansion with the sun, moon, and possibly other dwarf planets (or meteorites, asteroid belts, etc.). However, if you are buying this for a very young child, be aware that the edges are quite sharp. We also didn't find it to be as durable as mentioned. The kid we bought this for is VERY gentle with these blocks but after some use one had chipped and the others were showing signs of paint wear. I think if we played with it every day the wear and tear would be much greater and I wish there was some kind of varnish or protection specifically for the planetary drawings. However, to get a nice solid set of wooden blocks with a lot of information (moons, position of the sun, symbol, appearance, etc.), the price was very fair. We'll be looking at more Uncle Goose blocks for tutorial themes, but we'll continue to use the simple ones for rougher everyday play.
