Weak clamp design severely limits utility
A good concept poorly executed. The flexible arm and connector are excellent, but the spring clamp has very little clamping action, and the parts that need to grip the round shank are completely flat, so the contact area is very small. If the clamping elements were at least a steel angle with a rubber seal, they would double the contact area and hold it much more securely. It appears to have been adapted from a lever and clip intended to be attached to a flat shelf rather than a tubular lighting stand.
