We did not enjoy the light above our bed in our teardrop RV. They were too light and difficult to read. We wanted something that we could target to our own specific use (read/write). These Maichis 12V LED RV Lights were just what we needed. They are directional and have a beam small enough not to invade bedfellows' space. They were very easy to install (replacing the old lights) and battery operated, which is very important as we are offline most of the time. The only problem is that they are very, very bright and not dimmable unless you spend another $30 on an external switch. So we bought brake light cover replacement tape (aka red tape) instead and taped it to the light cover. That makes them perfect!
