It's surprisingly difficult to find a nice velvet skirt. The items I found were the wrong color or didn't fit. This skirt is of good colour, length and fit. It's very fashionable. And the stretchy back gives you some room to wear the skirt at the waist/hip, which also makes it a little more versatile. The biggest downside to the skirt is that it feels a bit cheap. Not that $19 is crazy, but for the price I was expecting something stronger. For example: I had to undo the buttonholes slightly to button the skirt (the skirt came unbuttoned in the package). I also had to trim some loose threads when I received the skirt. It doesn't really look thick or well made. However, from afar, the skirt doesn't look particularly cheap as part of an outfit. I think I only noticed the quality because I saw it up close and was assigned to look at the skirt.
