Review on Canon PowerShot SX60 HS - Capture Stunning Photos with Black Finish by Kiyoshi Sagae ᠌

Well done, but I won't buy any more.

I used this camera for over a year for macro, landscapes and bird shooting, then switched to the EOS 60D. In my opinion, the main advantage of this camera is the ability to try everything in photography at once and understand what exactly you need. A good option for beginner photographers or as a second camera for more advanced ones. Its pros: + Very strong zoom + Very fast continuous shooting in JPEG, a series of up to 10 frames does not slow down + Large range of focal lengths. Suitable for macro, and for panoramas, and for portraits, and for sports shooting and photography + Excellent stabilization. In clear or not too cloudy weather, you can shoot handheld at any distance + Good color rendering + There is shooting in RAW + There is a timer with the ability to set the time (up to a minute) and the number of frames in a series (up to 10) + Most shooting options are customizable + Shooting up to half an hour of video in FullHD + Comfortable, fits well in the hand + Relatively compact + Withstood shooting in the rain and blizzard, in the cold it does not discharge too quickly Some cons: - Noise. A lot of noise, ISO above 800 is practically non-working. Good for personal use, not good for work - Not bright. Shooting indoors is almost impossible, in cloudy weather you need to set ISO at least 400 - Sufficiently strong chromatic aberration - Dark, buggy and slow viewfinder. Better use of the screen - Auto modes are very stupid with the parameters and raise the ISO to the maximum. Use P or creative modes - ISO settings, exposure compensation and manual focus are hidden far enough - Manual focus is terribly inconvenient - You can not adjust the timer interval (shoots 1 frame per second) - Obscenely slow shooting in RAW. The frame is processed up to ten seconds - Increases ISO at shutter speeds longer than a second - The battery included in the kit is half dead and does not hold a charge for more than an hour of shooting. It's better to buy a new one - Tripod head covers battery compartment and memory card
