Lost over 2000 photos (Pixel 2) Review

Review on Google Pixel 2 Built-in storage without expansion Bought to backup videos and photos from the device Very difficult to understand how to use it, not sure if Google this complicated You should only use Google Photo Repository. So I can't blame the device entirely as I'm not 100% sure. I found a loophole by going into the device storage outside of Google Photos and even then it was difficult to figure out how to get the transfer option. The only option it gave me was to move the file instead of copying it to USB. So I started giving whatever I had to the camera. 2000 plus photos and 786 files. I safely remove the USB stick, connect it to my computer and find that all 2000+ images show up as empty files. He handed over the photos I had in my shopping cart πŸ€” and all my videos πŸ™. Since I moved the photos instead of copying them, they are now gone from my device. USB thoughts aside, I bought a video-only USB, so I already have photo backups in my Google Photo account. Google offers free storage but minimizes the quality with free storage and you have to pay monthly to store videos in HD quality. I don't need pixelated videos. So the USB did what I technically wanted it to do and since I backed up my photos to Google I technically just lost the photos on my device. This review is strictly for those who don't save photos to a free account when suggested to try a few pics first instead of making the mistake I made of just transferring without a test. It could also be a built-in google block, so my review is based on the google phone only.
