Review on Black Canon PowerShot SX150 IS 14.1 MP Digital Camera with 12x Wide-Angle Optical Image Stabilized Zoom and 3.0-Inch LCD (OLD MODEL) by Yoonki Baek ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Quality is top notch, happy with everything.

Great little one! With 2700 mAh batteries and a rag bag, I don’t pull it out of the bag at all. The ratio "price-quality" is unambiguously observed! The camera is very neat, I bought it to replace the five-year-old Canon and was very pleased. I am not a professional photographer, I just realized at one moment that I could no longer squeeze anything out of the old camera, I wanted something richer in functions, but inexpensive. This device is 150% justified! As a companion of a novice photographer or just an inquisitive person - that's it!

Pros
  • - AA batteries (I don't worry during long trips); - compact; - a lot of settings, a huge number of shooting modes (there would be straight arms . but I don't have them yet, but I'm trying ^_^); - video is VERY high quality (although a camera .), a convenient video recording button (no need to switch the wheel to video mode); - manual flash (for me - a significant plus, I really like to shoot without a flash, but previous models sinned by automatically turning it on even when it was turned off by force); - macro photography (wow, this is generally a song! photos are VERY high-quality, periodic misses are treated by correcting the curvature of the hands (in my case) or manual focusing); - software included (a very decent set of programs and utilities, some of which are only bundled with the camera, they are not downloaded anywhere separately (I mean the official version, of course)).
Cons
  • - like all Canons of a similar line - you can not monitor the battery charge. That is, at one fine moment, charging starts flashing SUDDENLY - and the camera is cut down; - flash charging (long, 5-6 seconds sometimes), and the flash itself, with a strong approximation in a dimly lit room, is practically useless; - when shooting video from a tripod, it starts to focus during shooting (occasionally loses clarity, but quickly recovers); - buzzing :) (there is such a hidden mode without sound, it seems to be, it really removes all the sounds of the camera (if you have not turned them off in the settings), but not the focus sound).
