Best Small Mac Keyboard for Battery Life

I've used a lot of Mac keyboards over the last few years - Apple, Logitech with solar panels, Logitech with rechargeable batteries, and a few wired keyboards. They all disappointed me sooner or later. Logitech batteries wear out after a few months. The solar keyboard is no longer actually sold (except in the secondary market). And I'm just sick of the "your keyboard is dead, change the batteries again" routine. Unfortunately, I was never able to find a suitable wired replacement until I tried this keyboard. While it's not perfect, and it felt a bit "clicky" to me when I first used it, it's still the best solution if you don't want a full-size keyboard on yours occupies entire desktop. Pros: * Wired (for me is a plus) - no more batteries! * Approximate size, shape, and style of an official Apple keyboard * Works as expected * No more wrestling with fiddly wireless connections or batteries * Same price Seems high Machine-molded plastic and slightly smaller electronics, but it's cheaper than the competition. Cons: * Seems a bit cheap at first glance. a little "click-click" * Keys and typing motions aren't as good as on larger Macally keyboards * There's a bright, unnecessary power light on the top of the keyboard. It's distracting, so I covered it with tape.* The plastic seems solid, but the cheap Macally also makes a great inexpensive quiet wired mouse that's also excellent. Overall, I give this keyboard a positive rating because it's the best solution I've found to solve the "run out of batteries" problem. A better keyboard could be made, but since Apple has discontinued its wired products we'll have to look to third-party suppliers. All in all, Macally made a credible replacement.
