Upon purchase I can confirm that the VG270S includes FreeSync Premium and HDMI 2.0 and runs at 165Hz over HDMI. I was a bit concerned because after ordering this monitor I found that the Acer KG272 is also available for the same price and clearly advertises FreeSync Premium and HDMI 2.0. Judging by the pictures and specs, VG270S and KG272 are the same panel, only the stand is different, so I would go for the cheaper one. Picture and color quality are excellent, and it passed the UFOTest ghosting test with no noticeable blurring in factory settings (165Hz, OverDrive in normal mode, ultra-low latency on). Compared to the GIGABYTE G27FC monitor with VA panel I tried before, the GIGABYTE certainly had better black levels, but it had a lot of black blur/ghosting and I had to bring it back. The GIGABYTE monitor also showed a lot of blur in the UFO test, which was unacceptable. The Acer VG270S IPS panel has a much better response time, although the black levels aren't as good. Also, my phone didn't take a good photo of the monitor's OSD, there are blurry reflections in the corners of the photo, etc. The panel looks great. I can definitely recommend it as a great budget IPS display that wants to stay at 1080p.
