My mother recently had a hip replacement and I received these lights before she left the hospital. Just so you know, she has always resisted any kind of technology-related change. The first night she had doubts, but she was willing to try. In fact, the next morning she informed me that they had helped her a lot, especially at night. The one closest to her bed was set to medium brightness with automatic detection. The next one closer to the bathroom was on and moderately bright. She asked for the ones in the bathroom to be set to medium-low and she said it worked great. The only little thing she joked about was when my dad went to bed after her and she was a little scared of the big shadow he cast as he entered the room. It made her life a lot easier, and on the second night she wasn't even bothered by the big shadow Papa cast at bedtime. I can see this worrying a small child. I really don't like those little lightbulbs that are always on and just waste electricity. I wish the house had more outlets at knee level or below. Instead, mine is not a product defect. I hope to get more in the near future because this is such a great product.
