I have had a 38mm weekender for years. I also have a Timex 40mm chronograph and I like the 40mm much better on my wrist than the 38mm. I ordered this 40mm weekender with a "cream" dial after I couldn't find a 40mm weekender with a white dial. You don't make white faces anymore? When the 40mm arrived and I tried it on, I immediately sent it back. The hands of the clock blend too closely with the dial and I have to search to find out what time it is. My 38mm weekender has a white face and black hands, making it easy to see the time. On this cream-colored dial, the watch hands are silver with small white inserts. At a normal viewing distance, I have to look for where my hands are. This is not user friendly at all as the clock is designed to help you tell the time. For me, this combination of creamy face and silvery hands is not suitable. I looked twice for a 40mm whiteface lens and one came from another seller for $70. Why is the white face with black hands asking for a price increase of $47? Dreadful. I'll keep looking, but I've also decided to broaden my search to other brands.
