Review on DNA MOTORING OEM ITM 007 Aluminum Manifold by Joshua Turner

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Absolutely perfect fit and performance

I have a 2006 CLK350, in the last 6 months or so the car has started behaving erratically and giving strange and inexplicable codes. When cleared, the codes were sometimes returned immediately and sometimes not at all. The car has 168k but otherwise works well. Digging into some background and research on my part. I have found that a NEW ENTRY often solves the problem immediately and permanently. Honestly, this is quite doable for the average man or girl who has the guts to change the oil and filters themselves. Fork and fork (hex sockets work just as well as ratchets and socket wrenches), a torque wrench is recommended but not required and is an absolute requirement (just be careful with bolts when tightening, tightening is probably ideal when tightening cross-cross). AFTER CAREFULLY DISASSEMBLING the old intake manifold and removing it from the vehicle. The slight shaking of the old distributor made noise like a loose can of MARBLE. which is quite shocking.!?!?!? Obviously these are unusually weakened and broken parts. I carefully stuffed each intake valve of each cylinder with paper towels to make sure nothing got into the engine. I also took the opportunity to clean each port with a carburetor cleaner (it was an excruciatingly slow process, but worth it). Installation was the opposite of removal, apart from positioning the intake manifold gasket it was a little frustrating to hold in place at first. For some patients I ended up completing the task and making sure everything was aligned BEFORE the tightening sequence. After the new air intake is screwed in, the rest of the fuel rail and injector clamps are attached (install new o-rings on the injectors every six times for a small cost of about $1. Double check your job and remove all tools (hide accessories).., NO, don't do it, find it and install it.) THEN GOOD BUT MUST turn the ignition key to start the engine roughly TURN THE IGNITION OFF for about a minute and start they new My car ran smoother and better than I ever remembered The car accelerated like never before I really felt like I was driving a brand new car the best and fastest way to improve performance and extend the life of your vehicle. ! readings. Kind regards and good luck with the conversion. It's not a difficult task, but it gives a great feeling of accomplishment. finally good luck.
